To comply with this law, you must enter the following
information in your fax unit.
• Date and Time
• Fax Identification (Name and Telephone Number)
which identifies the source of your fax transmission
Refer to the following sections for instructions on how to
program this information.
Date and Time
Fax machines must accurately identify the date, time, sender
and the telephone number of the sending fax machine on each
page of every fax they send. You are required by law to
program this information into your fax machine.
1 Press the Select Function key.
2 Press the 9/User Program One Touch key located on the
One Touch keypad.
3 On the numeric keypad, press 3. The display shows
3:CLOCK ADJUSTMENT.
4 Press the Yes ᮤ key. The display shows the currently set
date and time.
5 Using the numeric keypad, enter the new date (month/day/
year) and time in 24-hour format. Examples: 8:00 AM is
08:00; 8:00 PM is 20:00.
6 Press the Yes ᮤ key to confirm your entry.
7 Press the Select Function key to finish.
Fax Identification
Fax machines must accurately identify the date, time, sender
and the telephone number of the sending fax machine on each
page of every fax they send. You are required by law to
program this information into your fax machine.
Sender ID:
This is a descriptive title that identifies the sender—usually
the location of your fax machine or the name of your
company or office and the fax machine’s number. It is printed
at the top of every fax you send. You can enter up to 32
characters. The first 16 characters of your Sender ID will also
be used as your Personal ID. This Personal ID appears on the
displays or reports of other OKI fax machines you
communicate with.
