The StarLaserPrinter4 uses Courierfont as its defaultFX-850font.
You use the SelectEmulationsupersetcommandto switch into another
emulationto selectacartridgeordownloadedfont,butyouwon’tbe ableto
bringthatfontbackintoFX-850mode.That’sbecauseFX-850emulation
alwaysstartswith Courieras its defaultfont.
5.5.15 Underline
The underlinecommandunder FX-850 emulationputs underlinesunder
spaces as well as characters.To turn underlineon or off you send this
command:

If n is an oddnumber,underliningis turnedon.
If n is an evennumber,underliningis turnedoff.

TheMasterSelectcommandis ashortcutyoucanuseto specifywhichfont
youwantto printwith.MasterSelectletsyoucombineseveralcommands
inone—halfofallthefontattributeswithonefellswoop.MasterSelectalso
cancelsthefeaturesyoudo
notselectwithit.
The onlyrestrictionis that you can’t combinecondensedor monospaced
pitcheswithproportionalspacing.If youmix themyou’lljust getpropor-
tionalspacing.
To selectamongthe variousprintoptions,use this command:
