LAN
9.1 Overview
This chapter describes how to configure LAN settings.
A Local Area Network (LAN) is a shared communication system to which many
computers are attached. A LAN is a computer network limited to the immediate
area, usually the same building or floor of a building.

The LAN screens can help you configure a LAN DHCP server, manage IP
addresses, and partition your physical network into logical networks.
9.2 What You Can Do
•Use the IP screen (Section 9.4 on page 150) to change your basic LAN settings.
•Use the IP Alias screen (Section 9.5 on page 151) to change your IP alias
settings.
•Use the Advanced screen (Section 9.6 on page 152) to change your advanced
IP settings.
