4.9.10 Upgrading Main Switch Module (MSM-16 to MSM-32)
To upgrade the MSM-16 to a MSM-32, you must order the MSM-32 from Cabletron Systems. Then, follow the
procedures for removing the switch module and replace the current MSM-16 with the new MSM-32. See instructions
at the beginning of this section.
4.9.11 Adding an Expansion Switch Module
Follow the instructions for replacing a switch module, with the following additional instructions:
s• Remove blank filler panels after removing the front bezel.
¢• Install new ESM complete with I/O modules as shipped.
4.9.12 Adding New I/O Modules
Follow the instructions for removing and replacing switch and I/O modules, removing blank filler panel after removing
the appropriate switch module.
