•• Holding the new power supply module by its handle (see Figure 4-16), carefully insert the module
into the power supply opening until it engages the backplane and is flush with the back of the
ZX-250r.

T• Using a medium-size, flat-blade screw driver, secure the power supply module to the chassis by
tightening the holding-screw at the lower left corner of the power supply module (see Figure 4-13
and Figure 4-15).
Q• Connect the power cord to the power supply module. The new power supply is ready to be turned on.
4.9.14 Removing a Power Supply Module (SmartCell ZX-250r Only)
The following instructions are for the SmartCell ZX-250r only.
The power supply modules for the ZX-250r are hot swappable, which means you can install or replace a power supply
module while the other power supply and the ZX-250r are operational. Because of this, you may be working with a
device that is connected to line voltage. Exercise extreme caution when performing this task.
s• Turn off the power switch on the power supply module to be removed.
¢• Remove the power supply module’s power cord.
•• Locate the power supply module’s straight-head holding screw at the lower left corner of the power
supply module (see Figure 4-15).
