With the installation of a second processor SEC cartridge in the secondary
SEC cartridge connector on the system board, the computer becomes a dual-
processing system. The second processor must be the same type and
frequency as the first processor. To take advantage of two processors,
dual-processing systems must have multiprocessing operating systems, such
as the Microsoft
®
Windows NT
®
4.0 operating system. The Microsoft
Windows
®
95 operating system does not support dual processing.

The Dell Precision 410 systems offer advanced expansion subsystems that can
support a mixture of traditional ISA expansion cards (called
legacy
cards), Plug
and Play ISA expansion cards, PCI expansion cards, and an AGP card. The
operating system or the ISA Configuration Utility (ICU), included with the sys-
tem, provides a means of avoiding resource conflicts that might arise from
such an arrangement.
NOTE: For systems running Windows 95, the functions provided by the ICU
are handled by the Device Manager, which can be accessed by double-clicking
the System icon in the Control Panel. Windows 95 documentation provides
