Figure 6-46A. Static Multicast Forwarding Table screen
To add an entry or make a change to an entry on the Static Multicast Forwarding Table, enter a VLAN ID, enter a
MAC address, choose Egress or Forbidden for each port, choose a State (Delete on Reset, Delete on Timeout, Invalid,
or Permanent), and then press APPLY to put the change into effect.
Items in the above window are defined as follows:
VID This is the VLAN that will be defined on this screen. Note a VLAN ID is from 1 to 4094.
MAC Address The MAC address of the newly created Static Multicast Forwarding Table entry.
Egress/Forbidden Position the cursor over the dash “-“ representing the appropriate port number and press the
<space bar> to select E for Egress, F for Forbidden, or leave the dash “-“. An E designates the specified port as a static
member of the VLAN. A dash means the port is not given VLAN membership for the VID entered above. An F forbids
the port from joining a VLAN dynamically.
State Choose how you want the Switch to deal with the newly created Static Multicast Forwarding table entry:
Delete on Reset, Delete on Timeout, Invalid, or Permanent.
