This chapter provides information on keeping the printer in
optimum condition and tells you how to:
❏ Solve printer problems
❏ Replace the Imaging Cartridge
❏ Clean the printer
❏ Transport the printer.
Also included is a complete list of error messages you may
encounter. There are a number of ways to find out what error has
occurred:
❏ Use the EPSON Status Monitor utility
❏ Print a status sheet
❏ Check the printer control panel display
When using the printer’s control panel to check the status of the
printer, you can get a quick overview of the printer status by
looking at the indicators, as described in “Understanding Your
Printer".
The LCD display also provides messages which indicate the
current printer status, both errors and warnings. A list of these
messages is provided later in this chapter ("Error Messages", on
page 6-20)
