5. Open the cassette tray (if you are using the optional lower
paper cassette, open it) and remove any jammed sheets or
sheets which have been partially fed into the printer. Remove
the paper stack from the tray.
6. If you are using the MP tray, remove all media from the MP
tray, including any jammed or partially-fed sheets of media.
Replace the media in the MP tray.
7. Tap the edges of the paper or media stack on a flat surface and
carefully reload it into the paper tray. Do not reload curled or
wrinkled sheets.
8. Replace any paper cassettes before starting to print again.
If the Jam indicator continues to light up even if you remove the
paper as shown above, there may still be a torn sheet of paper
inside the printer.
In such a case, fold a piece of thick paper and insert it gently from
the MP tray or from the cassette, and while passing it slowly from
front to back, clean the paper path, particularly on the left wide,
removing the torn sheet of paper.
