❏ Try turning over the stack of paper in the paper tray. Most
paper packages indicate the best side for printing.
❏ The paper or media has not been loaded correctly into the
printer. Read the section on loading paper to ensure that you
are loading the paper correctly.
Paper jams, may occur in a number of different places: before
reaching the Imaging Cartridge, between the Imaging Cartridge
and the paper exit, at the paper exit itself, at the entrance to the
optional duplex unit, in the vertical unit of the duplex unit, or in
the duplex tray. The control panel display will inform you of the
location where any jams occur.
Clearing a paper jam
After clearing a paper jam, the jammed page will automatically
be reprinted.

Warning:
When clearing paper jams, remember that the fuser unit inside
the printer becomes very hot when printing. Never touch the
fuser unit. Read and take careful note of the label attached to the
fuser unit.
