Transporting the Printer
If you need to transport your printer, carefully repack it using the
original box and packing materials as follows:
1. Turn off the printer, remove the power cord from the power
outlet and the printer, and disconnect the interface cable.
2. Open the printer cover, remove the Imaging Cartridge, and
replace the cartridge in the aluminized bag. Do not expose the
cartridge to bright light. Close the printer cover.
3. Pull out the cassette tray and remove all paper from it. If there
is any media in the MP tray, remove that as well.
4. Push in the cassette tray to replace it, and fold and put the MP
tray back in face.
5. If you have fitted the optional face-up tray, remove it, as
described in Chapter 3, "Options".
6. If you have fitted the optional 500 sheet lower paper cassette
and/or the duplex unit, remove them as described in Chapter
3, "Options".
7. Replace the printer's protective materials, then repack the
printer in its original box.
