13 Connecting a TV Set (depend on model)
(Supported Only By Windows 2000 and Windows 98)
Depending on the model, the PC is equipped with an S-Video output terminal, to which you can
connect a TV set used at your home. This section describes connection of a TV set for home use.
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK
• To connect/remove a TV set, be sure to switch the PC power off and disconnect the
AC adapter beforehand. Also switch the TV power off and unplug the TV set.
Otherwise you may undergo an electric shock.
CAUTION
FAILURE
• When connecting cables, read the instruction carefully to avoid misconnection.
If the PC is used with a wrong connection, the PC and/or the TV set may be damaged.
1 Switch the PC power off and disconnect the AC adapter.
2 Switch the TV power off and unplug the TV set.
3 Connect a commercial A/V cable to the S-Video output terminal on the right side of the
PC.
Firmly connect the commercial A/V cable to the S-Video output terminal on the PC.
4 Connect the A/V cable to the TV set.
Refer to the TV set manual for this connection.
5 Connect the AC adapter to the PC and switch the PC power on.
6 Plug the TV set and switch the power on.
7 Change the screen display.
