7.3 Device Trouble Related to Installation
• Can not install the driver. (The installation is stopped on the way.)
Cause: Is the older version FUJITSU TWAIN driver .installed in your PC?
User response:
Please install the driver after uninstalling the old versions.
• Though the PC is activated after connecting the scanner device, the scanner device is not
detected automatically.
Cause: Check the followings
1. Is the power of the scanner device turned on?
Is the cable connected correctly?
Has an error occurred?
2. Has the driver of old version already been installed?
3. Was the installation terminated incompletely at the previous time?
4. Isn't the EZ-SCSI of Adaptec installed?
• The scanner does not scan, though the driver has been installed.
Cause: Check the followings.
1. Have the Mini driver and the data source been installed in the
right order? (If either of them has not been installed, the scanner
does not operate normally)
2. Is the scanner selected correctly in the application software being
used?
User response: 1. Follow the procedure given in the chapter 3 “Installation” and
perform the installation correctly.
2. Refer to the application software manual and select the scanner to
use correctly to perform scanning.
