Connecting the AC adapter

To connect the AC adapter:
1 If the battery is not installed, turn your notebook over so the bottom is
facing up.
-OR-
If the battery is installed, go to Step 4.
2 Place the battery into the battery bay and press down until it snaps into
place.
3 Slide the battery lock into the locked position.
4 Connect the power cord to the AC adapter.
Warning Make sure that you use the AC adapter that came with your
notebook or one of the same type purchased from
Gateway.
Replace the power cord if it becomes damaged. The
replacement cord must be of the same type and voltage
rating as the original cord or your notebook may be
damaged.
