File System
The File System options allow for modifying parameters and file
system maintenance functions. The File Sys Menu contains the
following menu items:
Read, Write, Delete, Compress, Space Report,
and
Init Space
. Select the
File Sys
menu item from the Supervisor Menu.

Note:
A listing of the standard parameter set is located in your

Developer’s Guide
. Each parameter contains the corresponding
application number, file number, record number, and class.
Read
The read item allows for viewing a parameter.
1.
Select the
Read
item on the File Sys Menu. Enter the following
information (as prompted) to read a parameter item.

The first prompt requests the application number. All parameters
for the 5992 application use application number “1”. Type in “1”,
and press Enter. The next prompt displays:

This prompt requests the file number. The file number refers to the
individual parameter. Type the file number, and press Enter. The
next prompt displays:
