Table 31 config pos command parameters and variables
config pos ip
Use the config pos ip command to configure IP parameters on the Passport
8683POS Module.
Table 32 describes the parameters and variables for the config pos ip
command.
Parameters and variables Description
default-vlan-id <vid> Directs the switch to send the untagged frames to a default VLAN if
received on a tagged port.
<vid> is the VLAN ID of the default VLAN
to which the discarded frames are sent.
info Shows the last saved port settings and the next-level CLI commands.
Note that this does not show the current settings, but the last saved
settings.
linktrap <enable | disable> Enables or disables the link up or down trap for a port.
lock <true | false> Locks a port for exclusive use if the port lock feature is globally
enabled with the command
config sys set portlock on
name <name> Assign or set a name.
perform-tagging <enable |
disable>
Enables or disables the IEEE 802.1Q tagging on the port.
state <enable | disable | test> Sets the state to enable, disable, or test.
tagged-frames-discard <enable |
disable>
Sets a port with tagging disabled to discard tagging frames.
untagged-frames-discard <enable
| disable>
Sets a port with tagging enabled to discard untagged frames.
Note: When the Passport 8600 switch is interoperating with a Juniper
router, the POS port must have the Juniper IP address configured. This is
necessary because the Juniper routers do not provide their local IP
address during PPP negotiation. The Passport 8600 switch requires the
Juniper address for IPCP operations.
