7 Use the keypad to type in the e-mail address, and then press the Enter key.
The settings are registered, and the DIAL REGISTER menu appears again.
" A maximum of 64 characters can be entered.
Registering Speed Dial Destinations (LDAP Search)
E-mail addresses can be registered as speed dial destinations by using informa-
tion on the LDAP server. A maximum of 250 speed dial destinations can be reg-
istered.
" To connect to an LDAP server, settings for LDAP SETTING must be
specified.
" Machine key operations cannot be used to register an FTP address or
SMB address as a speed dial destination. These addresses can be regis-
tered with the Setup Utility.
" Speed dial destination numbers 221 to 250 are reserved for registering
FTP addresses and SMB address from the Setup Utility.
1 In the main screen (Scan mode), press the up or down arrow key to select
UTILITY, and then press the Enter key.
2 Press the up or down arrow key to select DIAL REGISTER, and then press
the Enter key.
3 Press the up or down arrow key to select SPEED DIAL, and then press the
Enter key.
4 Use the keypad to type in the number (between 1 and 220) for the speed dial
destination, and then press the Enter key.
5 Press the up or down arrow key to select LDAP SEARCH, and then press the
Enter key.
" If an LDAP server is not specified, LDAP SEARCH does not appear.
6 Press the up or down arrow key to select NAME or E-MAIL, and then press
the Enter key.
" To search registered names, select NAME. To search e-mail
addresses, select E-MAIL.
7 Use the keypad to type in the search keyword (maximum of 10 characters),
and then press the Enter key.
The search begins, and the search results appear after a while. If no data
matches the search keyword, NOT FOUND appears for about two seconds.
