Copying and Pasting
The Copy and Paste menu commands are a feature users can use when
working with contact information. For example, you may want to add a
contact to several groups. By using the Copy menu command you can
copy the contact and then
Paste the information in other groups.
1 Select the contact in the Address Book Viewer that you want to copy.
2 Click
Copy on the toolbar or select Edit>Copy.
3 Navigate to the address book or to a particular group to paste the
contact.
4 Click Paste on the toolbar or select Edit>Paste.
The contact is added to the address book or group you have selected.
You can now edit the contact properties as desired by clicking
Properties in the toolbar or selecting File>Properties from the menu.
Finding an Entry in the Address Book
To locate contacts quickly, you can search the address book database.
Type in a string of characters to be used in the search. The Address Book
Viewer displays all entries that contain the specified string. For example,
if you type Smit, the results list includes names like Smith, Smithers,
and Smithson. This is useful when you are unsure how a contact’s name
is listed in the address book.
You can also search on all or part of a fax number.
Note: The search function applies to individual contacts, not to
groups.
1 Click Edit > Find from the menu. The Find dialog box opens.
