5. If you would like to record and restrict the volume of Internet traffic, select the Traffic
volume control by radio button. You can select one of the following options for controlling
the traffic volume:
• No Limit.
No restriction is applied when the traffic limit is reached.
• Downlo
ad only. The restriction is applied to incoming traffic only.
• Both Directions. The re
striction is applied to both incoming and outgoing traffic.

ou can limit the amount of data traffic allowed per month:
• Mon
thly Limit. Enter the monthly volume limit or connection time limit.
• Round up dat
a volume for each connection by. Some ISPs charge certain amount
of extra data volume when users make a new connection. If this case, enter the extra
data volume here.
7. Set the tra
ffic counter to begin at a specific time and date.
8. Set u
p traffic control to issue a warning message before the monthly limit of Mbytes or hours
is reached. You can select one of the following to occur when the limit is attained:
• The In
ternet Port LED blinks.
• The In
ternet connection is disconnected and disabled.
• Send a
n email notification. For information about setting up email notification, see
Email on
page 46.
9. Set up Internet traf
fic statistics to monitor the data traffic.
10. Click the T
raffic Status button if you want a live update on Internet traffic status on your
router.
11. Click Apply to save
your settings.
