31 Setting up the Fiery SI as a PostScript printer
Completing AppleTalk network setup for the Fiery SI with Windows 3.1x
The procedure for completing network setup is different for PhoneNet PC and
COPSTalk for Windows.
TO COMPLETE NETWORK SETUP USING PHONENET PC:
1. Double-click the PhoneNET Chooser icon.
2. Select PostScript Printers, select an AppleTalk zone (if applicable), and select the
Fiery SI from the list of printers.
3. Click Connect.
4. Make sure the port you chose when you installed the Fiery SI is selected.
5. Click Print PostScript and click Connect.
If you do not select Print PostScript, your print output will be in the form of
PostScript commands.
6. Close the Chooser.
TO COMPLETE NETWORK SETUP USING COPSTALK:
1. Double-click the WinChoose icon.
2. Select LaserWriter as the AppleTalk Type, select a zone (if applicable), and select the
Fiery SI from the Devices list.
3. Close WinChoose.
4. If you are prompted to restart Windows, click Restart Now.
Some newly installed drivers and driver settings do not take effect until you restart
Windows.
