Subnet Mask field
Only personnel logged in as administrators can edit the Subnet Mask field.
The Subnet Mask field is used to determine whether the Matrix 12800 is on the
same subnet as the mail server when you are subnetting. See Subnetting — A
Primer, at the end of this chapter, for more information on the Subnet Mask field
and its contents.
FPC IP Address field
The FPC IP Address field contains the IP address of the FPC computer. The FPC IP
address cannot be changed from this screen. See Starting Up the Controller and
Logging In and Out, steps 3, 4, and 5, beginning on page 3-4 to change this field.
E-Mail screen
Only personnel logged in as administrators can make changes to the E-Mail
screen.
The E-Mail screen (figure 3-16) consists of fields in which you can observe and edit
the Matrix 12800 e-mail notification settings.

There are two levels of FPC 5000 password protection: administrator and user.
Administrators have full access to all Matrix 12800 editing functions. Users cannot
change any settings on the e-mail screen.
Edit e-mail fields and select notification options as follows:
1. Touch the blue Admin > purple E-Mail buttons.
The E-Mail
screen appears.
2. To edit a field, touch the field you want to edit. The on-screen alphanumeric
keyboard (figure 3-1) appears.
3. Enter the desired parameter using the keyboard.
