Example #4: What are the Imager’s settings for all Codabar selections?
Enter: cbr?.
Response: CBRENA1[ACK],
CHK0[ACK],
CKX0[ACK],
SSX0[ACK],
MIN2[ACK],
MAX60[ACK],
DFT[ACK].
This response indicates that the Imager’s Codabar Coding Enable (CBRENA) is
set to 1, or on;
the Check Character (CHK and CKX) is set to 0, or No Check Character;
the Start/Stop Character is set to 0, or Don’t Transmit;
the Minimum Message Length (MIN) is 2 characters;
the Maximum Message Length (MAX) is 60 characters;
and the Default setting (DFT) has no value.
Trigger Commands
You can activate and deactivate the scanner with the serial trigger commands.
First, the scanner must be programmed for accepting serial commands by
scanning the Serial Triggering On bar code on page 2-14, or by sending the
serial command (TRGSER1.) on page 7-21. When the serial trigger factory
default settings are used and serial triggering is enabled, the trigger is activated
and deactivated by sending the following commands:
Activate SYN T CR
Deactivate SYN U CR
The scanner scans until a bar code has been read, until the deactivate command
is sent, or until the serial timeout has been reached. See "Trigger Timeout" on
page 2-15 for a description and the serial command on page 7-21.
