The Sizer has also established that each source needs a 4.6 or 4.47 Mbit/sec link for the sources,
whilst the target needs a link size of just over 9 Mbit/sec. The Sizer shows how much data is
replicated worst case from the sources to the target under Total TX GB
The output continues and shows a summary for each site of the backup concurrency up to the
maximum the source device can support (in this case the D2D2502i can support a maximum of 4
concurrent replication jobs).
The output also shows the replication concurrency adding up all the replication jobs we have 24
but the D2D2504 can only handle up to 8 replication jobs at a time, and the sources can only
replicate 4 jobs at a time*, which means not all replication jobs can run at once.
*This is a configuration feature of every D2D device. As the models increase in size they can have
high replication source concurrency and a higher target replication concurrency see Appendix A.
The Sizer also outputs a table that shows each backup in turn (and associated replication job(s))
together with the amount of data to be replicated TxGB (worst case fulls) and the required
replication throughput required in MB/sec to meet the stated replication window, in this case 12
hours.
