A.3 General Description of Options
A.3.1 Memory Card
The printer is equipped with a slot for a memory card with
the maximum size of 256 MB. A memory card is useful for
storing fonts, macros, and overlays. You can use the IC Link
for Windows utility to download fonts, etc., to a memory
card. This software is included in the CD-ROM supplied
with the printer.
Reading font from the memory card
Once inserted in the printer’s slot, the contents of the
memory card can be read from the control panel or
automatically when you power on or reset the printer. To
manually read read data in the memory card, see 3.9.1 Using
the Memory Card on page 3-42.
Caution
Before inserting a memory card in the printer,
make sure that the printer is switched off.
Insert the memory card in the memory card slot.

A.3.2 PF-640/645/647 Paper Feeders
The optional Paper Feeder fits underneath the printer as
shown in the illustration (The PF-647 is shown as an
example.). In combination with the printer's paper cassette,
each model provides a capacity of indicated below. All of the
optional paper cassettes that come with the paper feeder
support use of the following paper types: ISO A3, ISO A4,
ISO A5, JIS B4, JIS B5, Ledger, Letter, and Legal.
For detailed information on installing the paper feeder, see
the manual supplied with the paper feeder.
