IMPORTANT
The keypad has an auto-repeat feature. If a key is held down for more than 1 second, the
key action will repeat, automatically, at the rate of 15 keystrokes per second. This is
particularly useful when editing numeric fields, with many digits, such as frequency or data
rate.
F.2 ODU Remote Control Address Setup
The Outdoor Unit (ODU) connected to a CDM-570 Modem through FSK can be remotely
monitored and controlled by using ODU remote commands through Serial Remote or Telnet.
The address of the ODU is setup as follows:
For local-end ODUs,
- use Modem’s RC address + 1 for Stand-alone unit or Online unit in a 1:1 redundancy
system;
- use Modem’s RC address + 2 for Offline unit in a 1:1 redundancy system.
For distant-end ODUs in an EDMAC setup,
- use Slave Modem’s RC address + 3 for Stand-alone unit or Online unit in a 1:1
redundancy system;
- use Slave Modem’s RC address + 4 for Offline unit in a 1:1 redundancy system.
