Outbound Telnet
This section describes the Outbound Telnet feature.
Overview
Outbound Telnet:
• Establishes an outbound telnet connection between a device and a remote host
• A telnet connection is initiated, each side of the connection is assumed to originate and
terminate at a “Network Virtual Terminal” (NVT)
• Server and user hosts do not maintain information about the characteristics of each other’s
terminals and terminal handling conventions
• Must use a valid IP address
