Configuring the Power Supplies
Note:
The following information applies to five-slot Passport 4450
unit only. Three-slot Passport 4430 units do not need to be
configured.
The power supply at the bottom of the stack is called the master supply. All
other supplies located above the master are called slave supplies. The five-slot
models have one master and either three (4450 AC/DC) or four (4450 AC/ACR)
slave power supplies.
The AC input connectors (orange in color) are located at the rear of the unit,
behind the fan (see Figure 9-2 on page 9-2).
The DC input connectors (orange in color) are located at the outer side of the
power supply (see Figure 9-2 on page 9-2).
If adding new modules to a unit, ensure that the power supplies are properly
configured by following these procedures.
