Chapter 5 Internet Fax
Sending an Email Procedure
The basic operation to send an Email is as follows:
zEmail Addresses and Fax Stations can be mixed while entering the destinations.
Email would be transmitted to an Email Address destination, while normal fax documents would be transmitted
to a fax destination.

Place original(s).
zRefer to
Placing Originals (Facsimile/Internet
Fax) in the Operating Instructions
(For Basic
Operations) of provided booklet.

Press the Fax key to open the Fax
screen.
Select “Basic Menu” if additional
settings are required.
zSetting Original Quality (see page 26)
zSetting a File Type and a Filename (see
page 116)
The PDF format can be used only for transmitting
Email to remote computers.
Send Email in TIFF format to an Internet Fax.
zSetting Message Delivery Notice (MDN)
(see page 120)
Select “More Menus” if additional
settings are required.
zEmailing a Ledger-Sized Document (see
page 118)
zRelayed Transmission From Internet Fax
(see page 146)
Face Up. Up to 70 sheets (20lb).
Face Down. Align with top left
corner. Close ADF.
