Installing GA-1040 software
The User Software CD includes a software installer for Fiery Link. Fiery utility
software is supported on Windows 95/98/Me, Windows NT 4.0, and Windows 2000,
and must be separately installed on each user’s computer.
Command WorkStation software (available as an option) is provided on a separate
CD and is supported with Windows 95/98/Me, Windows NT 4.0, and
Windows 2000. It should be installed only on workstations that are designated for
Command WorkStation use.
The AGFA Monotype Font Manager 2000 software allows you to install, uninstall,
preview, sort, and create font groups. This software program is accessible from the
GA-1040 printer drivers but must be purchased separately. For installation
information, follow the install procedures on the AGFA Installer CD. Refer to the
included online help for detailed information on how to use it.
Fiery Link
Before you begin installation determine the following:
Where do you want to install the utility on your hard disk?
By default, the installer places Fiery Link in a folder called “Fiery” in the Programs
folder.
What do you want to name the utility folder in the Windows\Start Menu\Programs
folder?
By default, the installer names the folder “Fiery.”
