Entertainment, and then click Volume Control.
Using external speakers or headphones
Your computer is equipped with a full stereo sound system
with internal speakers. Instead of using the internal speakers,
you can connect headphones or a pair of external stereo
speakers.
Headphone jack
This jack lets you connect a stereo headphone (16 Ohm
minimum) to your computer. The headphone jack also lets
you connect an optical digital audio-out cable (optional)
directly to your digital stereo receiver port.
Before putting on headphones to listen to an audio CD, turn
the volume down. To turn the volume down, use the Volume
Control switch or access the Volume Control program (click
Start, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume
Control). Do not set the volume too high when using the
headphones. Continuous exposure to loud sound can harm
your hearing.
