CHAPTER TEN
Copy Options – Temporary Settings
You can choose the copy quality by using the Copy keys: Contrast,
Document Type, Enlarge/Reduce, and Option. These settings are
temporary, and the MFC returns to its default settings when you finish
copying. You can try different combinations of settings for best results.
Using the Contrast Key
You can choose the brightness setting before making a copy.

Insert the document in the feeder, or on the glass platten.

Press Contrast.

Press to make a lighter copy.
OR
Press
to make a darker copy.

Press Set when the screen displays your setting.
Using the Document Type Key
You can select the Copy resolution for your type of the original
document (TEXT, AUTO or PHOTO). Select the right kind of image
you’re copying.

Place the document in the feeder or on the glass platten.

Press Document Type. The screen will display the default setting.

SELECT { } & SET
TEXT (text only)
AUTO (line art, graphs, or any combination including photograph)
PHOTO (photograph only)

Press or to select the right kind of image you’re copying, and
press Set.

Press Copy.

Using dial key pad, enter the number of copies.

Wait five seconds or press Copy again.
