1. Input the text and define the two blocks.
2. Use H and J to move the cursor so it is inside the block whose character pitch you
want to change.
3. Press FORM to display the FORM menu.
4. Use L to highlight PITCH, and press SET.
5. Use K and L to select the character pitch you want.
• You can select NONE, NARROW, or WIDE.
• In this example, you should select WIDE.
6. After selecting the character pitch, press SET to ap-
ply the setting and return to the text input screen.
• It is impossible to change the PITCH setting while the cursor is located at a block mark
( ) at the beginning of a block of text.
Block Length
You can individually specify the length of each block that makes up your label. If you are
making title labels for the edge of binders, for example, you can specify a uniform length for
the title, date, and author. This causes the text on the labels to be uniformly aligned when
the binders are placed on a bookshelf.
The block length setting you make is applied only to the block where the cursor is located
when you perform the setting operation.
To specify a block length
Example: To specify the following block lengths for the text noted below.
1. Input the text and define the three blocks.
2. Use H and J to move the cursor so it is inside the block whose length you want to
