Deleting Location Appliance Host AccessDeleting Location Appliance Host Access
The Cisco 2700 Series Location Appliance (location appliance) allows superusers to add and delete host
access. Perform the following to delete an existing host access:
1. In the Cisco WCS interface, select LOCATE to display the All Location Appliances page.
2. Click the desired Server Name to have Cisco WCS display the Location Appliance > General
Properties > <LocAppliance Name> page.
3. Click Host Access to have Cisco WCS display the Location Appliance > Host Access >
<LocAppliance Name> page.
4. Check the desired IP Address/netmask.
5. In the right-hand command drop-down menu, select Delete Host Access and then click GO to
start the deletion.
6. Click OK to complete the deletion.
To add a new User, refer to Adding Location Appliance Users. To change values for an existing User,
refer to Changing Location Appliance User Passwords, Group Names, and Permissions. To add a new
user group, refer to Adding Location Appliance User Groups. Otherwise, continue with Configuring
Location Appliances or Operating the Location Appliances.

At any time, you can change the following Cisco 2700 Series Location Appliance (location appliance)
Advanced Parameters:
1. In the Cisco WCS interface, select LOCATE to display the All Location Appliances page.
2. Click the desired Server Name to have Cisco WCS display the Location Appliance > General
Properties > <LocAppliance Name> page.
3. In the left navigation bar, click Advanced Parameters to have Cisco WCS display the
Location Appliance > Advanced Parameters > <LocAppliance Name> page.
4. Change the following parameters, as required:
- Current Logging Level (Trace, Information, Error, or Off; default = Information). Leave
this setting as Information, unless directed to do otherwise by Cisco Technical
Assistance Center (TAC).
- Enable or Disable Advanced Debugging (default = Disabled). Leave this setting as
Disabled, unless directed to do otherwise by Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
- Current Number of Days to Keep Events (default = 7 days). Change this value as
required by Cisco WCS users and troubleshooters.
- Current Session Timeout in minutes (default = 30 minutes). Change this value as
required by location appliance troubleshooters.
- Current Cleanup Data Interval in minutes (default = 7 days). Change this value as
required by location appliance troubleshooters.
5. Click Save to update the Cisco WCS and location appliance databases.
In the Location Appliance > Advanced Parameters > <LocAppliance Name> page, you can view
more Advanced Parameters as described in Viewing Location Appliance Current Status
. From the
Location Appliance > Advanced Parameters > <LocAppliance Name> page, you can perform
