Key String (0-128 Characters)
—Key string used for authenticating and encrypting all RADIUS
communications between the device and the RADIUS server. This key must match the RADIUS
encryption. If no host-specific value is specified, the global value applies to each host.
Source IP Address
—IP address of device accessing the RADIUS server.
The RADIUS default parameters are user-defined defaults. The default settings are applied to
newly defined RADIUS servers. If default values are not defined, the system defaults are applied to
the new RADIUS servers. The following are the RADIUS defaults:
Default Timeout for Reply
—Default amount of the time the device waits for an answer from the
RADIUS server before timing out.
Default Retries (sec)
—Default number of transmitted requests sent to RADIUS server before a
failure occurs.
Default Dead Time (sec)
—Default amount of time (in minutes) that a RADIUS server is bypassed
for service requests. The range is 0-2000.
Default Key String
—Default key string used for authenticating and encrypting all RADIUS
communications between the device and the RADIUS server. This key must match the RADIUS
encryption.
NOTE: You can set the values for the aforementioned defaults on the RADIUS Settings page (System
Management Security RADIUS).
Source IP Address
—Default IP address of a device accessing the RADIUS server.
Defining Out-of-Band RADIUS Parameters

OOB RADIUS Settings
page.

Define the the following fields:
Default Timeout for Reply
,
Default Retries
,
Default Dead
Time
, and
Default Key
.

Click
Apply Changes
.
The RADIUS settings are updated to the device.
Adding an Out-of-Band RADIUS Server

Open the
OOB RADIUS Settings
page.

Click
Add
to display the
Add OOB RADIUS Server
page.

Complete the fields in the dialog.

Click
Apply Changes
.
The new RADIUS server is added, and the device is updated.
Deleting an Out-of-Band RADIUS Server from the RADIUS Servers List

OOB RADIUS Settings
page.

Show All
to display the
OOB RADIUS Servers
list.
