Grasping the board with both hands, pull it straight out of the
printer and set it on a clean, stable surface with the bracket
(connector) to the right-hand side, as shown below.
Installing the chip set
To install the memory chip set you need a chip puller or a
flat-head screwdriver. If you have questions about installing the
chip set, contact your dealer for assistance.
Before you install the chip set on the controller board, determine
where to install it. The amount of RAM already installed on the
board determines the location for the new chip set. All four-chips
in one set must be installed at the same time.
