4.
Disconnect the power and data cables from the back of the drive,
noting their location and orientation. (You will reconnect these cables
after you install the new CD-ROM drive.)
5.
Remove the screws securing the CD-ROM drive to the chassis and
remove the CD-ROM drive (see Figure 18).

6.
Place the new CD-ROM drive in the chassis and secure the drive to the
chassis using the screws you removed in Step 5.
7.
Connect the power and data cables to the CD-ROM drive, making sure
the cables match their original position. (See drive documentation for
proper drive jumper settings and cable orientation.)
8.
Close the case, as described in “Closing the system” on page 7.
9.
Reconnect the power cord and turn on the system.
