Adding support for the RXE-100
To add support for RXE-100, a new NBI.NLM file must be obtained by going to
http://support.novell.com/filefinder/ and searching for NBIUP1.EXE. This
file contains a new NetWare Bus Interface driver, NBI.NLM. The new driver adds
support for the x440 when the RXE-100 is installed.
Perform the following operation:
1. Bring the server down to a DOS prompt.
2. Go to C:\NWSERVER directory and rename the NBI.NLM to NBI.OLD if it
exists.
Tip: You can debug the driver by powering down the machine, rebooting, and
entering:
LOAD C:\IBMXSBD.NLM -DBGALL > C:\IBMXSBD.TXT
Before you begin:
Attach the RXE-100 (do this after the NetWare installation).
The NetWare Support Pack
must be installed before installing the new
NBI.NLM. Otherwise, installing the support pack will overwrite the new
NBI.NLM
