Clearing a Wedged Staple (continued)
Off-Line Stapler
CAUTION
Before closing stapler door, attempt to withdraw the stapler to be
sure it is securely installed; otherwise, it may fall out when the door
is opened.
1 Press the stapler release button
and open the stapler.
2 Press the cartridge holder in
the direction of the arrow, as
shown.
3 Remove the staple cartridge.
4 Press cartridge holder back to
the center position.
5 Then, press it downward until it
stops.
6 While the cartridge is removed,
close the stapler.
7 Insert 2 or 3 sheets of paper as
if for side stapling, as shown. If
the staple discharges, go to
step 12. If the staple remains
wedged, continue with step 8.
8 If the wedged staple cannot be
removed, remove the bottom
cover of the stapler.
9 Then, remove the magnetic
plate.
