Troubleshooting
Possible Meaning(s) Solution(s)
Printhead, cable or PC
The options selected with the print driver
are being overridden by the application.
Power cord is damaged.
Power cord is not securely inserted into the
power outlet and/or the printer.
No power from outlet
Blank print
Printer output does not reflect the
options selected.
Printer Power LED does not turn
on.
Problem
Print Demo page (See “Print the Demo Page” in Section 1).
1. Demo page is OK: check cable and PC.
2. Demo page is blank:
a. Remove/reinstall printhead; print demo page.
b. Demo page still blank: press Cartridge
Change/Clean button for 2 to 5 seconds to clean the
printhead. Repeat if necessary.
c. Demo page still blank: replace printhead.
d. Demo page still blank: contact your local service
dealer (see Section 7).
The application may override any options that are selected
using the printer driver. Choose the desired options through
your application.
Check the power cord and replace if damaged.
Remove the power cord from the wall outlet, then remove
it from the printer and reinsert it. Plug the power cord back
into the wall outlet.
Connect the power cord to a different power outlet.
