Insertion
Before inserting the Floppydisk Adapter in the FDD,
completely wipe off all dirt and dust from the rectangular
recess at the top center on the back of the Floppydisk
Adapter. Also wipe the black section at the top center (on the
exact opposite side of the recess) on the front of the adapter.
After ensuring that all dirt and dust has been removed, insert
the Floppydisk Adapter into the FDD.
When the FD adaptor is recognized, the utility checks the
status of the SmartMedia disk and the adaptor. This can take
some time.
