battery life of the AA batteries and the type of batteries the Terminal is
expecting, press the STATUS key shows:

XXX=ALK when Alkaline batteries are specified in Battery
setup
XXX=RCH when NiMH batteries specified in Battery
setup
Press the STATUS key again to resume processing.
If using the Active X program with XP, be sure "connection pooling" is
disabled.
