Physical Description
Familiarize yourself with your StorPoint CD. This information provides a useful
reference during the installation.
SCSI Server
Network Connector The StorPoint CD is equipped with a 100baseTX connector. The internal
network connector will automatically adjust to 10baseT or 100baseTX, full or
half duplex mode. Use a Category 5 UTP cable for the 100baseTX operation.
Note: ❏ When the StorPoint CD has been installed in a tower, the network
connector is found on the network connection board that appears at the
back of the tower. Note that the network cable cannot be connected directly
to the server unit.
SCSI Connector The StorPoint CD has a SCSI connector for connecting disc drives, jukeboxes,
changers and LUN expanders. The dual SCSI version is equipped with two
SCSI connectors.
Push Button The Push button is used for restoring the StorPoint CD parameters to the
factory default settings. See “Restoring Factory Default Settings” on page 131.
