Scanning an Image
This section describes the basic operation procedures to install the Scanner Cartridge and
to scan the image.
• Scanning and printing certain documents, such as bank notes (bank bills)
and government bonds, may be considered "criminal" offences with
considerable penalties.
• You may be required by law to obtain authorization from the person who
has the copyright or other legal right to the documents being scanned.

Remove the BJ Cartridge installed in the cartridge holder and then install
the Color Image Scanner Cartridge IS-32.
(1) Open the front cover of the printer. Remove the BJ Cartridge installed
in the cartridge holder.
(2) Store the removed BJ Cartridge in the BJ Cartridge container.
(3) Install the Color Image Scanner Cartridge IS-32.
(4) Make sure that the paper thickness lever is set to the Up position.
(5) Close the front cover.
