Scanning an Image
(2) After the scanning holder with the original is ejected from the paper out-
put tray, the prescanned image is displayed.
Make sure that the image is properly placed in the scanning area.

To scan only a portion of the entire image, drag the mouse to specify the
portion. Follow the procedure below.
(1) Point to a corner of the rectangle for the area on the image you want to
select.
(2) Drag the mouse to the opposite corner of the rectangle.
(3) Release the mouse button. The specified rectangle appears on the
image.
• To change the portion you specified, place the mouse pointer within the
portion and drag the mouse to the desired position.
• To cancel the portion you specified, follow the procedure below.
