SCSI ID and terminator
Each device has a SCSI ID number: the computer (SCSI interface
board) is usually set to number 7, and each of the other devices
must have a unique number between 0 and 6. Both ends of daisy
chain should be terminated. This can be done by connecting an
external terminator to the SCSI device at the end of the chain, or
enabling on internal termination of the SCSI device at the end of
the chain. If the PC is at the end of the daisy chain, its internal
terminator should be switched on. Otherwise, its terminator
should be off. An external terminator on a SCSI device in the
middle of the chain should be removed, or its internal terminator
should be switched off.
Setting the SCSI ID number
The scanner's default SCSI ID number is 2.
The SCSI ID rotary switch
is located on the back of
the scanner.
