Interface errors
The interface setup is wrong or the scanner is not properly
connected to the computer.
When this error occurs, check the interface connection and cables
and then push the
RESET
button or turn the scanner off and then
back on again to reset it.
Fatal errors
This type of error indicates one of the following problems:
The fluorescent lamp needs to be replaced.
The transportation lock has not been released.
The scanner is malfunctioning.
Check that the transportation lock has been released and check
any installed options for problems. Next, turn the scanner off and
then back on again. If this does not correct the problem, consult
your dealer.
Option errors
This indicates a problem with installed optional equipment such
as a paper jam in the Automatic Document Feeder, an empty
document feeder, or an open cover.
Check the equipment and correct the cause of the problem.
Operating problems
Problems you may have while using the scanner often involve the
operation of your software and computer. Operation problems
usually occur because of:
