7. Insert the carrier-mounted PCI card into the vacant slot, using the slot guide, as shown in
Figure 6-22.

8. Push in horizontally on the carrier seating bar, as shown in Figure 6-23, to seat the card
securely in the slot.

9. Install the blade into the IRU.
10. Power on the IRU or restart the system.
11. Run the ls -pci PCI hardware inventory command to verify the installation. This
command lists PCI hardware that the operating system discovered during the boot operation.
