Troubleshoot the FEB
If the FEB fail
s, the forwarding and routing functions of the router halt immediately and do
not resume until the FEB failure has been corrected.
To troublesho
ot an FEB, follow these guidelines:
Make sure the FEB is properly seated in the midplane. Use a Phillips screwdriver to
ensure that th
e screws at the top of the FEB are securely tightened.
Check the alarm LEDs on the craft interface. An FEB failure generates either a red or
yellow alarm,
depending on the type of failure.

To troubleshoot the PICs, follow these guidelines:
To check the status of each port on a PIC, look at the LED located on the PIC faceplate.

To check the status of a PIC, issue the following CLI command. The PIC slots in the FPC
are numbered
from 0 through 3,righttoleft:

Troubleshoot the Power System
When a power su
pply is functioning correctly, the blue LED labeled OUTPUT OK is lit steadily.
If any other LED states apply, consult the following sections:
