9.1 Extraction system
The Leica CM3600 can be optionally equipped with an extraction device.
This device greatly reduces the buildup of cutting waste in the cryocham-
ber and microtome and simplifies cleaning of the instrument. To operate
the extraction device, access to compressed air of at least 5 bar is
required.
Instruments with a 70 mm high knife bridge can also be retrofitted with
the extraction system. Please contact your Leica representative for
further details.
Only duly authorized Leica service engineers may install the
extraction system.
