When data changes on a tag, the 94X5 printers treat the
format differently than 94X0 printers.
• The increase print speed, the 9425/9445/9465 printers
re-draw ("re-image") only the parts of a format that have
been changed. A field in which data was changed
could be redrawn over a field in which no data was
changed.
For example, a bar code could be designed with the
human readable characters printed as a separate field
overlapping part of the bars. If the bar code data is
changed, the bar code could be redrawn over any
human readable characters that did not change.
• In 9420/9440 imaging mode, the entire format is always
re-imaged. Overlapping fields are not negatively
affected, but printing is not as fast.
